If Someone is Not Connected

If someone is not well connected to Spirit through the chakras, then they must get their spiritual energy from elsewhere. Generally this is by connecting to other people. By steps such as using your intuition, being aware of your chakras, and balancing and grounding them, you are well connected to spirit. However, because you are well connected, you can be a good source of energy for people who are not connected.

If you are feeling drained and do not have the energy that you need, and you know that this is not due to a lack of sleep, stress, or other physical reasons, then you may have one or more person in your life who is connected to you for their spiritual energy. Usually, when you notice feeling drained, you can remember someone that, after you see them in person, you feel drained. If so, doing the meditation to cut energy connections is really important. It is recommended that you follow this with the meditation for protection. The second meditation is especially important if you are frequently in the presence of someone who drains you. If they are isolated and seem particularly needy, it can be good to repeat the meditation for protection before seeing them in person and possibly using the meditation to cut energy connections right after seeing them. Use your intuitive method to decide when and how often to use these meditations.

Notes: This exercise is not about judging others, as we don't know what lessons they are working on. However, it is about using good judgment for ourselves. Although usually less powerful, we can also have energy connections to places and things. These get cut along with the ones to people, so generally we don't pay attention to them. However, there are times when it is good to consider cutting these connections. For example, when leaving a place where you have lived, when leaving a job, selling something, or giving/throwing something away. Especially if you have spent a lot of time at a place and/or have felt well supported by a place or thing.
