Cutting

Aka Cords

This information and meditation comes from Hawaiian Huna teachings via Dr. June d’Estelle. Aka cords are invisible energy connections primarily between people, but they can also be to other things such as pets, places, objects or even events. Usually aka cords are connected at the solar plexus, probably due to emotion, but they can be connected anywhere on the body. We can feel drained by these connections.

Here is an exercise to cut these connections and remake them at the heart level. The latter is important because you may recognize who or what the connections are attached to and want to remain connected. So is good to know that we can do this after cutting aka cords by reconnecting with love. Connections at the heart level are at a higher frequency and do not drain our energy. Although aka cords are invisible, they may be perceived through our inner senses.

Meditation: Once you have reached your meditative level, visualize a stool, a sword, and a golden rope. The stool can be a bar stool with no back, the sword can be made of metal, light, or whatever you choose, and the rope can be about the length of your body and woven of real gold.

1. Visualize yourself sitting on the stool. At some point, you may start to see or sense the aka cords attached to you. You may also see who or what they are attached to and how thick they are.

2. Take the sword and visualize cutting the aka cords. If an aka cord is thick, you may need to use both hands. You also may need to hack at it more than once to cut through. Feel free to change your sword or do whatever you need to cut all the aka cords. Visualize cutting all around you. Sometimes when you cut an aka cord, you may actually feel energy snap back to you.

3. Take the golden rope and holding it by one end above your head so that it reaches to the floor, twirl it around you. The golden rope will hang up on any uncut aka cords. Since the rope is made of pure gold it has weight and you may see, feel, or sense when it hangs up on an aka cord. When you discover an uncut aka cord, take the sword and cut it. Then repeat checking for uncut aka cords using the golden rope. One way to do this is to use it as a jump rope.

4. Remake any connections that you would like to, using love, at the heart level. Know that if you do miss remaking all the heart connections that are important to you, that they will be made automatically as you go through life.

Notes: It is good to repeat this exercise from time-to-time. Feeling really drained after being with someone, or by an event or difficult time, is a clue that it is time to repeat the exercise. Life has a way of taking over so that we get busy and forget about aka cords. It is often when we remark to someone that we “are feeling drained” or “I always feel drained after taking to ____,” that we remember about aka cords and repeating this exercise.

Although this is a simple exercise, it can be very powerful so don’t underestimate its value and even if it doesn’t seem to help the first time you use it, try repeating it later.
